About the Program
REEL Mates
REEL Mates was created to connect young people in Western Sydney with positive mentors through fishing. Mentees discover hobbies they can carry for life, form positive connections with peers and mentors, and build a strong sense of belonging in their community.
Our mentors provide guidance, encouragement, and support to young people who lack a positive male role model or are affected by domestic violence.
Beyond fishing, REEL Mates is about community. We partner with local organisations, families, and schools to provide safe, supportive opportunities for young people to thrive.
